SGA, BARMM – To optimize the manufacturing processes of micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) in this area, the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Science and Technology capacitated the Pikit 2 Catalyst Association (P2CA) through a Technology Training held in Brgy. Bulol, Pikit 2 Cluster, in the Bangsamoro’s Special Geographic Area.

From September 25 to 27, 2023, twelve (12) members of P2CA benefitted from the Peanut Butter Processing Technology Training provided by MOST. This training was facilitated by the Provincial S & T Center – SGA, led by Fatima Kadil, Provincial Director.

The training aimed to upskill MSMEs in the production and processing of peanut butter using new equipment and technology. It also aimed to enhance their capabilities in producing products more efficiently and quickly.

Basri Abubakar, Brgy. Kagawad, who also attended the activity, expressed gratitude for the training that benefitted P2CA.

“Alhamdulillah kapegkailay ko sa nia activity a mapia endo makangguna sa association ania, In sha Allah,” Abubakar said.

[Alhamdulillah, I see this activity as beneficial, and it will, God willing, benefit the association,]

Meanwhile, Fahmia Edzrael, P2CA President, thanked MOST for providing the technology training.

“Masla a sukor ka aden manem ania nakatundog a training para salkami, di nami gi expect na aden den besen equipment sa niaba training,” Blah said.

MOST is committed to capacitating MSMEs in the region through technology training to enhance their knowledge, skills, and capacities. The technology training has enhanced their skills in designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the operations of MSMEs.

Furthermore, this endeavor is part of the MOST Technology Transfer and Commercialization Program (TTCP) – Bangsamoro Empowerment through Science and Technology (BEST).
