| Various S & T projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Science Education, Scholarship, and Grants (SESG) were handed over to students and school recipients in Cotabato City. The event took place at Cotabato City Hall (CCH) on January 24, 2024.

The turnover ceremony was led by Minister Engr. Aida Silongan, Mayor Bruce Matabalao, Bangsamoro Director-General Engr. Abdulrakman Asim, CCH Chief of Staff Atty. Nes Lidasan, and CSTC Head Norhaya Sumaluyan.

In the opening activity, Minister Silongan emphasized the benefits of providing S & T projects to beneficiaries as it will empower students, teachers, and researchers to access more information and engage in profound research.

“These projects we have provided will serve as a crucible for ideas, unfold scientific excellence for the students, and empower them to access information, engaging in more dynamic scientific and technological researches,” Minister said.

Meanwhile, Atty. Lidasan encouraged the beneficiaries to fully maximize the benefits of the projects provided to them for progress and sustainability.

“We ensure that Cotabato City constituents benefit from the advancement of technology through our partner agencies. We are hoping that you capitalize on this investment for benefits. Let us work hand in hand to achieve a more progressive city,” Atty. Lidasan said.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) was with MOST in providing processing equipment for their beneficiaries. Recipients expressed gratitude for the projects received, as they will create betterment and gradually improve lives and the schooling journey.
