To leverage global networks in advancing the national health research system, the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Science and Technology, through the Research, Development, and Innovation (RDID) Division, participated in the 17th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.

The activity, which ran from August 13 to 16, 2024, aimed to highlight the importance of utilizing the power of local, national, and global joint efforts in addressing health challenges and accelerating health research and medical innovations.

The MOST-RDID personnel and Bangsamoro Health Research and Development Consortium (BHRDC) members who joined the health research activity included:

The four-day event featured various activities such as the policymakers’ competition, research poster contest, training of trainers, capacity building, consortium poster competition, activity launching, opening of exhibits, press conference, and more. MOST and BHRDC specifically participated in the Rampa Kultura event, securing 3rd runner-up out of 12 participants nationwide, as well as in the Consortium Poster Competition.

MOST ensures that its personnel are actively engaged in research and development initiatives to enhance their capacities and capabilities, thereby fostering R&D development in the region with a particular focus on health.
