Minister Aida Silongan and the Science and Technology Services (STS) section conducted an on-site visit on Osaha Sin Anak Miskin Cooperative’s ten (10) hectares coffee plantation at Brgy. Lahing-Lahing, Omar, Sulu on October 1, 2021.
As part of the technology training provided for the identified cooperatives, Minister Silongan and the STS section conducted an on-site visit in the production, plantation, and processing area. It is to check the location and recommend/suggest practices for the improvement of the production area.
Minister Silongan motivated the cooperative to continuously develop the abundant agricultural raw materials in the Sulu Province, the Coffee products that are potential for local and international markets.
“I was stunned with the hectares of the coffee plantation that you have here in Sulu. I encouraged you to continuously develop and provide more products for the benefit of your organization. The ministry is with you to provide assistance such as technology training and provide equipment to speed up the processing and production of your raw materials.” Minister Silongan said during turn-over of processing and MOA signing activity.
Osaha Sin Anak Miskin Cooperative is one of the recipients of MOST’s Technology Transfer and Commercialization Program (TTCP), which has been capacitated by the ministry on technology training and provided with processing equipment.
