To amplify health initiatives and support in the region, the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Science and Technology, through its Bangsamoro Health Research and Development Consortium successfully conducted the 4th Bangsamoro Health Research Forum on October 16, 2024. The event also featured the Research Poster Competition and Oral Research Presentation Contest for both professional and student categories, with the winners awarded on October 17 during the culminating activity of the 2024 Bangsamoro Science and Technology Week (BSTW).

The activity, which took place at Alnor Hotel and Convention Center, Cotabato City, aimed to provide a platform for the presentation of completed health research studies, recognize outstanding health research contributions through oral and poster presentations, encourage collaboration among health professionals, students, and researchers, and foster a research culture within academic and professional health institutions in the Bangsamoro region.

With the theme “From Local to Global: Expanding the Horizons of BARMM Health Research,” the forum emphasized the need to align regional health research with global trends and standards while addressing pressing health issues in BARMM. Through this forum, BHRDC seeks to contribute to the development of policies and programs that can elevate health outcomes in the region.

The health forum also highlighted the winners of the research competitions. There were eight (8) participants in the Research Poster Competition and eleven (11) participants in the Oral Research Presentation.
