The Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Science and Technology secured a P575 million budget for 2025, an increase of P88.5 million from its initial P486 million proposal, as approved by the Bangsamoro Parliament’s Committee on Finance, Budget, and Management.
The funds will support the Bangsamoro Science High School, scholarships, disaster risk reduction initiatives, and other key programs. Minister Aida Silongan, PhD, emphasized the budget’s role in enhancing science and technology services, research, standards and testing laboratories, and education programs.
Key projects include the Bangsamoro DRRM Program for disaster preparedness and the NETWORKS program for Halal skills development.
