Cotabato City, BARMM – Six high schools from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) showcased their inventions during the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Bangsamoro Students’ Innova-thon, held as part of the 2024 Bangsamoro Science and Technology (S&T) Week.
The event, which took place on October 16-17, 2024, at Cotabato State University, aimed to highlight the creativity, resourcefulness, and scientific ingenuity of Bangsamoro youth as they tackled pressing challenges through technological innovations.
The Innova-thon, one of the highlights of BSTW, featured the top six student groups that excelled in the ideation phase. These students, representing various schools across BARMM, were tasked with developing and crafting innovative solutions using materials and supplies provided by MOST. Asgali, a renowned inventor from Mindanao State University – Sulu Campus. Their collective expertise ensured a thorough and fair evaluation of the students’ work.
During the BSTW 2024 Culminating Activity, the standout inventions were awarded certificates and cash prizes as follows:
