To ensure preparedness and reduce earthquake disaster risks, the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Science and Technology participated in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on September 26, 2024, performing the “duck, cover, and hold” routine and proceeding to the designated evacuation area.
The drill, which began at 9:00 AM, aimed to develop preparedness for appropriate responses during earthquake emergencies.
The NSED is a quarterly exercise designed to enhance earthquake preparedness among local government units, line agencies, and other government instrumentalities, while educating the general public on earthquake response and preparedness measures.
