Cotabato City, BARMM — A total of one hundred thirty-three (133) recipients of the Bangsamoro Assistance for Science Education (BASE) and BASE-Merit grantees will take their oath on October 25, 2022, at Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex (SKCC), Bangsamoro Government Center in this city.
Grantees from Cotabato City, Maguindanao, and North Cotabato – Special Geographic Area (SGA) are expected to attend the said event with their parents or guardians.
Also, oath-taking for grantees from Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will be conducted in the Provincial Science and Technology Centers this month.
A total of three hundred grantees across the Bangsamoro region will take an oath and receive grants. There are 200 grantees for the BASE and 100 for BASE-Merit.
The MOST BASE and BASE-Merit Cash Assistance Programs intend to support students taking science and technology courses and passing the qualifying examination.
Furthermore, it is the third batch of BASE grantees to receive cash assistance from MOST and the first batch for the BASE-Merit Program.
