Cotabato City, BARMM — To govern their business organization with moral values and good practices, five (5) cooperatives and sole proprietors underwent Values Transformation Training (VTT) on March 14-17, 2023 in this city.

TMA Food Enterprise “Pita Wrapper & Shawarma Products”,  Biniruan Pansit Producers Association “Pansit Products”, Pagalamatan United Farmers Producers’ Cooperative “Muslim Delicacies”,  Nidas Delicacies Store “Bibingka Products”, and Alternative Soap Making Cooperative “Herbal Soap Making” were the beneficiaries of the Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises– Upgrading Program (MSMEs-UP) and Bangsamoro Empowerment through Science and Technology (BEST) Program. VTT was the first step to be acquired by the beneficiaries under the Technology Transfer and Commercialization Program of MOST Science and Technology Services, followed by other technology interventions and implementations in the coming months.

The four-day activity at Cocina Isabela Resto is designed to promote  universal values in performing one’s duties and responsibilities as a manager and member of cooperatives and inculcate principles inclined to moral governance with inspiration from  Islamic values. It was also to build moral character and discipline and encourage honesty in all endeavors.

In the activity, Nasrodin A. Buisan, MOST Director II, encouraged the MSMEs to enable all their implementations with the guidance and practice of good morals and values.

“Ang MOST ay kinonduct itong Values Transformation Training upang masigurong ma-sustain at tapat sa ating mga proyekto. Tandaan natin na ang pera ng gobyerno at pera ng Bangsamoro ay kailangan natin ma -implement ng maayos na naaayon sa Moral Governance. Kayo po na mga nasa MSMEs ay malaki ang maitutulong upang makadagdag ng employment sa ating rehiyon,” Buisan said.

[MOST conducted this Values Transformation Training to ensure that our projects are sustainable and honest. Let’s remember that the money of the government and the money of the Bangsamoro must be properly implemented in line with Moral Governance. You, who are in MSMEs will help a lot to increase employment in our region,] Buisan said.

Ustadz Datu Allen Dacula, Assistant Legal Officer, also added that the VTT was to encourage transparency in utilizing the government’s funds for the Bangsamoro people.

[Let’s appreciate what BARMM has given us because now we can feel our government more on the ground. Because of this government, we are implementing these programs such as the Values Transformation Training (VTT) with our beneficiaries to have transparency in the use of our funds for the people of the Bangsamoro.]
