Cotabato City, BARMM — To equip micro, small, and medium enterprises with knowledge and skills on technology adoption, five (5) cooperatives in this city benefitted from the Technology Transfer and Commercialization Program (TTCP) Training organized by Cotabato S & T Center.
On May 15-17, 2023, the training for MSMEs slated at Drive Way Food Street Hub introduced learnings and good practices on Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Proper Handwashing, Cross-contamination, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Halal Awareness and Certification, and Packaging and Labelling.
BiniruanPansit Producers Cooperative “Pansit Maker,” TMA Food Products “Pita & Shawarma Producers,” Pagalamat United Farmers Association and Cooperative (PUFAC) “Tipas Maker,” Nidas Delicacies “Nidas Bibingka Producers” And Alternative Soap Making Cooperative “Herbal Soap Making” were the beneficiaries/participants of the said Training.
In a statement, MonawaraAbdulbadie, Chief Science Research Specialist and S & T Services Head, said that MOST intensified technology training for MSMEs to impart knowledge and learnings so they would adhere to food safety, good manufacturing, and compliance to Halal.
“The training provided by MOST is our way to assist our MSMEs in the region improve their system and operation as well as for them to adhere to food safety, practice good manufacturing, follow standard food packaging and labelling, and be halal-compliant.” Abdbulbadie emphasized.
