Marawi City – Four research projects funded by the Bangsamoro Science and Technology Ministry at Mindanao State University – Marawi were monitored on July 23, 2024. The monitoring aimed to oversee the progress of ongoing research projects and ensure the timely submission of technical and financial reports.

 

The accomplishments of the four research projects presented were:

 

  1. Development of Integrated Crop Management (ICM) for Strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch) and Establishment of Strawberry Farms in Lanao del Sur – presented by Mr. Edgel Escomen
  2. Characterization and Identification of Clay Deposits in the Province of Lanao del Sur: A Primary Raw Material Used in Ceramic Production – presented by Engr. Ascara Gumal, PhD
  3. Revolutionizing Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Pathogen Detection: Developing an Android-Based Machine Learning Model for Early Disease Identification – presented by Sacaria Gulam, MGD
  4. Impact of Crescentia cujete Linn Fruit Extracts on Obesity and Insulin Secretion Using Cell Models – presented by Merell Billacura, PhD
