The Lanao Lake Native Souvenir Producers Cooperative received processing equipment from the Ministry of Science and Technology – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOST-BARMM) last January 19, 2021. The said activity was conducted at Brgy. Campong, Tugaya, Lanao del Sur. The ministry aims to provide and assist identified women’s cooperatives in upgrading production equipment.
Monawara Abdulbadie, Ministry’s Head of Science and Technology Services said during the activity that cooperatives identified by the ministry will receive processing equipment helping improve the productivity of their business. She also reiterated that LLNSPC and other cooperatives would be provided with training on Food Safety, e-LTO, and Halal Awareness, respectively.
Moreover, the cooperative has thanked the ministry for providing them processing equipment. The cooperative expresses gratitude to the ministry through a thankful message given by President Abu Salman.
The Science and Technology Livelihood Assistance Program (STLAP) is one of the programs under Technology Transfer and Commercialization to assist micro, small, and medium enterprises to adopt technological innovation for production’s improvement and competitiveness. This program addresses the technical problem and improves the productivity and efficiency of cooperatives.
