The Ministry of Science and Technology – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOST-BARMM) conducted the Year-End Performance Review for 2020 last December 18 to 23. MOST’s regular, co-terminus, contractual, and contract of service attended the said activity in South Cotabato. The said activity aims to review and evaluate the performance of the ministry for the whole year.

Minister Aida Silongan said during the activity’s opening that the ministry’s performance will be assessed and the individual’s performance for the whole year. She also noted that the Work and Financial Plan for 2020 would be reviewed if targets, indicators, and output have accomplished.

The 2020 Year-End Performance Review meeting is mostly for the performance review of the implementation of programs and projects of the ministry, accomplishments of the Office of the Minister, Finance and Administrative Division, Technical Division, sections, units, and provinces. The activity aims to present and discuss each division’s physical and financial accomplishments based on the Work and Financial Plan of 2020.

The said activity also seeks to determine some of the learning’s key encountered during the implementation of programs and projects such as challenges, issues, and concerns, and actions taken to develop possible solutions. They also identify the best practices, values, and recommendations they practiced in implementing programs, projects, and activities by continually embracing the Bangsamoro Government’s moral governance.

In this activity, each division, section, and the unit also conferred the unimplemented programs of 2020. They discussed that targets set and the implementation of activities will be done in the 1st quarter of 2021.

The ministry also conducted team building to make resilient togetherness and solidarity among MOST new employees.

In the closing ceremony, Suharto Abas, Bangsamoro Director-General, pointed out that employees should make their best efforts on implementing programs, projects, and activities for the coming years. He requested the presenters of each division/unit/section to create a narrative report of the accomplishments they have reported during the activity for documentation purposes. He also encouraged all employees of the ministry to perform well and embrace teamwork at all times.
