COTABATO CITY – Twenty-four newly-appointed permanent employees of the Ministry of Science and Technology – BARMM took oath yesterday, November 12, 2020, at Mall of Alnor, Convention Hall. Shiek Abu Huraira A. Udasan, Executive Director of Darul Ifta, presided over the newly-hired employees’ oath-taking. MOST regular, co-terminus, contractual, and job order employees attended the said activity, respectively. Also, appointees and other employees from island provinces joined the said ceremony via the Zoom platform. The general orientation conducted to inform personnel about Republic Act 6713 or the Civil Service Ethical Standards, Disciplinary Actions, and Rules on Administrative Cases, presentation on MOST mandates and structure, administrative and technical services.

Minister Aida M. Silongan led and opened the ceremony. She stated, “We should always set our mind towards moral governance that our Chief Minister is advocating. We should impose good values on ourselves. We dream of a government that pursues our goals by supporting and helping the community at all times. We should provide quality services to the Bangsamoro people. We will take oath today to Allah and we should have fear in Him. We should put all our efforts and do the best we can as an employee.”

Kamaludin – Budget Officer III, Sittie Shahanie M. Delna – Administrative Officer III, Bai Sittie Joharnie L. Dawi – Cashier III, Hadjara A. Dago – Human Resource Management Officer III, Aisa Del Rosario Biang – Supply Officer, Abdulwahid M. Sendad – Planning Officer III, Hayder N. Dukan – Planning Officer I, Nasrodin U. Buisan – Supervising Science Research Specialist, Moammer A. Tabara – Senior Science Research Specialist (Research and Development Unit), Monawara M. Abdulbadie – Senior Science Research Specialist (Science and Technology Services Unit), Rocaya G. Edres – Senior Science Research Specialist (Education Unit), Gladys G. Paglinawan – Senior Science Research Specialist (Chemical Laboratory), Nadjiyah O. Sinarimbo – Senior Science Research Specialist (Microbiological Laboratory), Rugaya H. Abdullah – Senior Science Research Specialist (Halal Laboratory), Johairon L. Usop – Procurement Officer, Nadiah Abdulrahman – Internal Auditor II, Fatima M. Kadil – Senior Science Research Specialist/Provincial Director in North Cotabato, Jandatu S. Salik – Senior Science Research Specialist/Provincial Director in Maguindanao, Alinader A. Sarangani – Senior Science Research Specialist/Provincial Director in Lanao del Sur, Engr. Omar P. Marzoc – Senior Science Research Specialist/Provincial Director in Basilan, Ayesha Rema Amin-Tan – Senior Science Research Specialist/Provincial Director in Sulu, and Shirmal S. Mudjahiron – Senior Science Research Specialist/Provincial Director in Tawi-Tawi, respectively.

Executive Director Shiek Abu Huraira Udasan gave a speech on moral governance, one of the activity highlights.

“We should follow the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and put into practical life, in our job and daily lives. I believe we have to be guided with the Holy Quran and the sunnah of the prophet so that we will become successful and prosperous in running our moral governance.” Bangsamoro Mufti Udasan said. 

Dominador Gonzales, Jr, OIC-Regional Director of CSC-BARMM, gave a two-hour presentation about Republic Act 6713 or the Ethical Standards and Disciplinary Actions. He also further discussed the Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service. 

The afternoon activity focused mainly on presenting and discussing the mandates, structure of the ministry, finance and administrative division, and technical services.

Suharto A. Abas, MOST Chief of Staff, presented and discussed the ministry’s mandates and structure. 

Nasrudin U. Buisan, Chief of Technical Division – designate, discussed the programs and projects under the Technical Division. He also introduced the personnel assigned to the said programs and projects.

Moreover, Atty. Alladin S. Tamama, Chief Administrative Officer, presented the roles of Administrative and Finance Personnel and introduced the personnel for the position. He also discussed the Administrative Order 01 or the Comprehensive Guidelines on Financial Management.

Minister Aida Silongan closed the activity by congratulating the newly-hired employees and thanking all personnel who have contributed positively to the ministry’s development.
