Bangsamoro Science and Technology Ministry spearheads the activity at Paragon Hotel and Restaurant, Cotabato City, on March 1, 2023.
The Technical Working Group (TWG) meeting intends to convene the members of the BRDC-TWG with the following agenda: (1) Presentation of 1 Resolution and 1 Bill, (2) Presentation of criteria for the representation of the academe, industry, and CSOs, (3) Updates on the status of BRDC budget, (4) Update on the list of the BRDC-TWG members (permanent and alternate), (5) Finalization of the 3rd BRDC Council Meeting Agenda on March 29, 2023 (6) Presentation of previous, ongoing, and upcoming R&D efforts (2021-2024).
Members of the council from different ministries and offices participate in the activity.
MOST Bangsamoro Director-General Engr. Abdulrakman Asim and RDS Director Nasrodin A. Buisan lead the meeting.
The Bangsamoro Research and Development Council closely coordinates science and technological research, including inventions and R & D interventions of different ministries, agencies, and offices in BARMM. It also engages regional science and technology-oriented organizations, such as research institutions and academe, to improve competitiveness and catalyze innovations.
Furthermore, it is initiated to strengthen and operationalize the BARMM’s Executive Order No. 04, 2021, Creating the Bangsamoro Research and Development Council to effectively integrate the totality of the Bangsamoro Government’s scientific and technological efforts to achieve more remarkable regional progress.
