Bangsamoro, Philippines — To inculcate and promote moral governance in every organization in the region, the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Special Development Fund (SDF) Project advocated and conducted the Values Transformation Training (VTT) for the eight (8) Micro, Small, and Medium-scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in Maguindanao and North Cotabato – Special Geographic Area.
The training activity aimed to orient MSMEs about moral governance, good values for their organization, and upholding the right work attitudes to create an effective and efficient organization. It also encourages them to apply what they have learned to increase faith and create a better work environment.
From March to May 2023, the following cooperatives have undergone VTT.
- Kapalawan Native Inhabitants Agriculture Cooperative – Tamped, Kabacan
- Alpha Bravo Cooperative Cluster 1 – Inug-ug Pagalungan
- Alpha Bravo Cooperative Cluster 7 – Bulit, DatuMontawal
- Pagatin II Weavers Rural Workers Association (PWRWA)– Pagatin II, Shariff Saidona
- Golden Harvest Farmers Marketing Cooperative – Tambunan, Talayan
- TalayanGoldliners Farmer production Cooperative – Tambunan, Talayan
- Sulagad Practitioners Farmers Marketing Cooperative – Looy, South Upi
- Pagalungan Women’s Organization – Pagalungan, Kabuntalan
Saguiara Guiapal, a PWRWA member, was thankful for the training, which significantly benefitted them.

[First of all, we are very grateful to Allah for we have been graced to be a recipient of the BARMM government. We are also thanking the Ministry of Science and Technology, especially Engr. Aida for the program initiatives that are indeed beneficial to us. This training has significantly impacted us, especially our relationship with Allah SWT and our association, which surely helps us sustain our family and community.]The training focuses on Personal Values Clarification and Values Transformation, the Concept of Islamic Values and Moral Governance, Faith and Its Articles, The Importance of Faith in Developing Islamic Values, The Pillars of Islam, The Pillars of Islam in Developing Islamic Values, Applying Islamic Values in Development, and Islamic Values in Dealing with cooperative co-members.
After the VTT training, the MSMEs, as mentioned earlier, will also receive training such as Food Safety and Halal Awareness, Technology-Skills Training, and followed by other SDF program implementations in the coming months.
