Cotabato City, BARMM — To generate competitive and viable products through technology interventions, the Ministry of Science and Technology – City S & T Center conducted technology training, food safety, and halal awareness to four (4) micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) or cooperatives in this city.

On September 14-16, 2022, the cooperatives that benefitted from the training mentioned above were Nurhamza Food Products, Yams Premium Ice Candy, Kuya Dan and Friends Lumpia Wrapper Production, and Umpungan nu mga Babay sa Bagua 2. They were all engaged in food product making.

The activity aims to equip cooperatives with knowledge and ideas on ensuring food safety in the processing of their products, learn and understand the concepts of Halal, and learn other technology training such as packaging and labelling and its suitability to their products.

MOST also aim to improve cooperative production lines by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and motivating them to benefit their organization.
